Our Young Adults and Singles Ministry with other Young Adults from other Churches across the U.S. had the opportunity to seek the face of God this past weekend at The Pleasant Hill Outdoor Camp in Perrysville, OH.
While we can’t put words together good enough to fully capture their experience at the two (2) day long retreat, we can share some snaps and testimonies from the event. Enjoy ;-).
My heart overflows with a good theme; I address my psalm to the King. My tongue is like the pen of a skillful writer.
PSALM 45:1 AMP
Gracious Father!!! Wow! Wow! Wow! Being a minister of songs and now recently given the gift of tongues, this stood out clear to me “My tongue is like the pen of a skillful writer” – Sis. Amina
I had a boil before the camp and now it’s gone without a trace! Also, the joy of the Holy Spirit hit me AT WORK! Lol yes you read that right, at work! – Bro. Mansir
Thank you so much for letting me come along with you on the retreat. It has made such a huge impact on my life. I have never experienced anything like that, it’s been such a blessing in my life. I was starting to have doubts but I had a direct encounter with God during the retreat. Thank you for being so caring and being wonderful. God bless you! – Sis. Seyi
Jeremiah 18:6 With the help of Holy Spirit and prayer, I give it up (submissive) and let the Holy Spirit take over 🙌. And I discovered when you let go and let God then everything goes smoothly without any struggle. More of this people (Retreat) – Sis. Tosin
I barely have enough time to drop my 2 cents, but it would be remiss of me if I don’t mention how uplifting everything that’s being shared has been. I’m fully tapped into it and it’s just so amazing how God has just weaved it all together. The connection cannot be downplayed. We are of one accord, linked in Spirit. It’s no accident that it couldn’t be contained within Triumphant chapel alone. I don’t know about you guys, but I can’t contain how amazing it feels. More people NEED to know about this!
I seriously LOVE you all 😭😭😭 – Bro. Sam
Sorry guys it’s been a morning of praise and worship and just sharing what God has been doing in these past few days.
Here’s the Testimony 😁. It pertains to the song I shared this morning. That song was on replay all day yesterday. Doing my prayer time with my partner yesterday I wanted to sing the song but I forgot the words and how it went. I went to bed very late lastnight and when I woke up this morning I was running late, I just jumped up and said Father thank you and not really taking the time to exalt him for the mercies he has renewed. Long story short while I was in the shower the song cane to my heart and I began to sing. While trying to leave the shower the power of God came so mightily in the bathroom that I was on the floor just consumed in the fire and presence of God. My youngest sister then walks in and I believe she was confused as to why I was on the floor crying out to God and speaking in tongues, she just slowly walked past me and grabbed her toothbrush. She then stood over me for a moment calling my name but I couldn’t answer because my tongue was not freed yet so she left and walked into the room. I thought to myself I must look crazy and foolish right now. About 5 minutes later I was freed to go get dressed. When I walked into the room she very nonchalantly asks me where is her school shirt, I was so drunk with the spirit I just said I don’t know lol.
What I wanted to say is that it’s an honor to look like a fool for God. I know the presence of God has been consuming each and every single one of us in our own places and time and sometimes it’s not the moment we expect or places we want to be consumed in but it’s all for the glory of God. – Sis. Dedele
I have had a bad chest pain since high school so like almost 10 years now and while we were praying I could feeel a knife going my chest and my whole entire left side went numb . And every time it was too much to bear He would stop till I was ready again for Him to continue. And not till I could feel Him patching me back up did we begin to round up. – Sis. Sope
